Yeah. I’m in the same boat. I was deeply into it myself, and structured my original educational path and pursuits around it. Now I can’t stand hearing/listening/watching anything related to politics, and refrain from any (most) political discourse.

It’s not good for my health if I do... and I just get frustrated

As a free thinking brit, that voted to remain in the EU, imagine how I feel after all this bullshit has come out over here. Boris, Gove and Farage made false promises and flat out lies to win over the public and then deny they said any of it and then all resign. Turns out many institutions think that this could lead to a global economic slowdown.

I graduated from college with a double major including political science. I worked at the state legislature for a couple years. I officially stopped caring about politics a few years ago.

I’m planning to major in Polisci, and I regularly detox my body from actual politics one or two days at a time. It tears me up with America looking like this...and it would screw me up further

Polisci is great fun. It’s also a worthless major and it’s incredibly frustrating to see how bad it’s gotten in the larger political sphere.
